I love rose buds. I wish they could REMAIN as buds instead of opening up all the way, just like I wish puppies could stay puppies instead of growing up to be dogs. This bush is in my back yard and I’m constantly amazed at the abuse it takes and still it produces beautiful roses. We’ve moved it several times in the landscaping scheme and it never seems to mind.

I always wish they could stay buds, too. But puppies — as cute as they are — are too labor intensive for me to wish they would remain so. Beautiful rose.
