I’ve Loved Horses Forever
As a child I used to drive my dad crazy. When we’d be driving in the country and I’d see a horse, or even worse, a whole bunch of horses, I’d pound on his shoulders as he drove and I’d holler, “Horsey, horsey, horsey”. And at school I used to draw horses on the cardboard backs of my friends’ writing tablets. I couldn’t get enough of horses, although about the only time I ever got to ride one was when we’d go on vacation and we’d stop at a dude ranch. But my imagination went wild each time I got on top a horse. For an hour or so I was a real live cowgirl.

So when we were at Texas A&M University last year and I saw the horse sculptures in front of the George Bush Library I just couldn’t resist. They’re depicted here jumping over pieces of the crumbled Berlin Wall.

ohhhhhhh.. Im going to have to come back to see your pic there when xanga is up and running properly..
Love that… Did you know, Chris, that OKC is planning to have a bunch of life-sized bronze sculptures depicting the land run of 1889 close or in Bricktown? I hope they get a sculptor who is really good. It could be really wonderful.
Saw those when we visited the museum, too. I think I like the ones at Williams Square even better though.
Hoe beautiful the calendar at the bottom of the page…. wonderful!
