  • Mom and the Twins

Animals at Arbuckle Wild Life Preserve in Oklahoma

Frankly, I don't know if this was a momma goat or a momma sheep but I thought the twins were adorable.  I tend to call them goats if they have horns and sheep if they do not.  This picture was taken while on a brief vacation that my sister and I took a little over two years ago.   It was only two or three days, but we sure had a good time visiting.

And now we're planning a trip to Arkansas for a week and we think we'll have another excellent adventure.  We've both ordered and received our official Arkansas Vacation Kits and I've been reading up on what to do and see and marking locations on a map.  I think I'm getting excited.

  • Vacationing Vicariously

Our next door neighbors went to Holland recently on a business/pleasure trip and when they returned they shared a couple photos with us, so naturally . . I enhanced them and I'm sharing them with XangaLand.

This, I think, is my favorite picture of all the ones she shared.  It was taken in Delft.  I love the brick building with it's stone corners and the arched bridge and the wonderful reflection in the water of the canal.

This is a picture of the "residential streets" passing over one of the canals.  I really think this picture is neat the way you can see three different bridges at the same time.

And of course what trip to Holland would be complete without a picture of a windmill.  I really expected to see lots of pictures of windmills, but Lorry had only taken two and I liked this one best.

  • What a Lovely Garage

Unfortunately I can't remember which town this picture was taken in, but I surely did think this was an adorable garage.  Not only did it have the planter boxes and the flowers growing up the trellises, but I kind of liked the rounded doors too.
