Rock wall and Gate near cottage we rented in Burford, England
Photo & enhancement by Chris Duffy
I found this rock wall and wroght iron gate one morning as I was taking a walk near our cottage, while I waited for hubby to get up and ready to head out for another day of English village sight seeing. Wouldn’t that be just perfect for my garden? Fat chance!!
Well, I’m getting ready to pull the plug on the old machine and set up the new computer. So, we’ll see how long it takes for me to get back to the web. Wish me luck. (If it takes me too long I’ll have to drop in to XangaLand from work).

Don’t let it be too long. I love your pics. Life on the edge of a tropical cloudforest is rampantly beautiful but sometimes I long for the restrained and muted colours of the UK.
I hope that you are able to get your new computer up and running soon. We bought a new computer today! My husband and I just got it up and running tonight. We have our computers networked, so now I need to copy everything from my old computer to my new one. My old computer was freezing up all the time. It is about 7-8 years old, so it was time to get a new one. My new one is an HP with a 200GB hard drive. I had filled up my old computer that has a 10GB hard drive, which may be one reason it was always locking up. I remember when I has a 1GB hard drive and didn’t think that I would ever fill it up. Times have changed!
What kind of computer is your new one?
Oh, I forgot to tell you that your pictures look so much better on my new monitor. On my old one they were sometimes dark, but now they look fabulous! :goodjob:
It’s a Compaq Presario 8000T with 200 GB hard drive and best of all 1 GIG of RAM and a 256 video graphics card.
Here’s hoping you can get your new computer up and running soon!
Hurry, hurry back. I truely look forward to getting your pictures!!
I love those rock walls. You see them in rural Virginia quite a bit.
Another lovely scene. Weren’t you tempted to pack it up stone by stone and take it home?
Led Zeppelin was/is a British rock & roll band popular in the late 1960′s-1980s. Still very popular among kids young & old. Their music is featured in the new Cadilac ads on TV now. I guess they figure the Baby Boomers that made them superstars are now mature enough to drive Caddys.

I love rocks, walls, homes, walks. It’s an art that is all but disappeared I think. Lots of rock walls in Virginia and you can see them near old homes here if you can find an old home. Very picturesque. :sunny:
Beautiful wall and gate. Congrats on the new computer! and good luck getting her all set up. :goodjob:
