Bibury, England Photo and enhancement by Chris Duffy
Well, we’re back to square one . . . well, maybe square 3 or 4 really. At any rate, I had to perform a QUICK RESTORE which brought my computer back to exactly where it was when I took it out of the box. I was about 95% complete on the transfer of all my software and all my data and picture files over from the old computer to the new one when two of my softwares got into a squabble . . . neither one of them won, and the aftermath of their squabble was that several things did not work correctly after the fight. I tried un-installing both and reinstalling the important one (Sticky Notes) but even that didn’t work . . . so . . . I did as my techie suggested and did the QUICK RESTORE. So far, I have my email back up and running, I can get to the internet, and one of many softwares back on the computer. It was after 10:30 and I was getting those “Do you realize how late it is?” comments from hubby, so I’ll work on it more tonight after work. I really think it will go faster this time, since I know more or less what I’m doing this time. But I couldn’t go another whole two or three days without blogging, so I’m blogging from work today.

OOPS, Alice tells me that my email is NOT up and running . . . at least not correctly. I sent her a test message at 10:30 last night and she has not received it.
It’s hard to think that blogs world attract so much bad feedback from people who don’t have a clue who you are and the kind of person you are. I look at your picture and think, darn, what a nice looking woman, why haven’t I aged gracefully and why couldn’t I still look that good? The kids of today, haven’t gotten it into their heads that there will be a time they will be our age or older, that is if anyone lets them live that long. Anyway, your talent, your looks, your photos, your blog, are A-Okay with me. I sure do love the photos.
Thank you for the visit and, I always enjoy any comments.
One other thing, I haven’t noticed any updates lately from your mother, maybe I am just missing them. I’ll have to check it out. I do hope she is doing okay and is well.
Regards,
Great pic. Good luck with the computer. I love new computers but I hate setting them up. I know you can get all those programs to transfer stuff, but it never really seems to work in the same way with a new o/s. I am looking into getting a virtual hd to store everything on the net, even copies of programs. I will probably be too lazy to actually do it though.
Glad you popped in, so much easier to click on a link there in comments than the sidebar. I’ve got to check the sidebar colors cause I keep missing you when I go down the list.
I have to take my computer in to All Systems Go whenever I need anything done. We only know how to plug and unplug.. hope I don’t need any restore feature, I wouldn’t know what to do.
I love todays photo…as I love all of your enhancements. Mabye the software will stop fighting.
Ouch. What a bummer.
