YEAH !!!! It’s FRIDAY !!!! The kids are coming for the week end and Monday is a holiday. Does it get any better?
I’m sure Alice and I won’t be staying anyplace as nice as this, but I’m equally sure that we’ll see scenery just as beautiful on our Austin trip. This is part of the campus at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, where my husband’s company has their board meeting every year. Occasionally he asks if anyone wants to have the meeting at a different venue for a change and every time they say, “NO, why would we?” So the board meeting is coming up again the later part of next week and I’ll be there, wishing I didn’t have to attend the coctail hours and command performance dinners. Not that the food isn’t good, it’s fabulous! It’s just that “schmoozing” and “hob knobbing” just isn’t my bag. And neither is getting all gussied up. But I’ll be a good girl and pretend I’m having the time of my life. I might even find time to get some more pictures.

I can see why they always want to stay there. It’s beautiful! I hate to get dressed up, too.
No, I don’t suppose we’ll stay any place nearly as beautiful or luxurious as that place. But I bet we have more fun! :fun:

You know, Alice, I KNOW why I didn’t know about that feature. I’ve never gotten that many comments in my life. . . . or . . . if I have, I just didn’t know I got more than 27 because . . . I didn’t know about that trick.
If you don’t want to go to the meeting with your hubby, I’ll go!! wink We lived in Colorado Springs for 4 yrs. back in the 60′s, and one of our favorite rides was to drive around the Broadmoor. Went to a few shows there, also. Saw Liberace, Phyllis Diller, and the Smothers Brothers. We loved the Springs, and my mountains! What wonderful memories! Have fun–even if you do have to suffer through the “schmoozing” and “hob nobbing”!
That place looks pretty nice. I hope you have some fun there…
My hubby has his big conference trip next week… it is always the first week September here… His is in Cambridge Maryland at some fancy resort on the bay… He goes every year. Maybe next year I will be able to go. Blizzie will be a senior then.

You sound just like me! :lol: Getting gussied up translates to having to wear panty hose. I swore off panty hose! They had to be invented by someone that likes torture!
