And here are some of my favorite shots from Alice's garden. It's amazing to me how much she has accomplished in just under one year with her garden. She has put in untold number of hours digging, planting, deadheading . . . and it shows. The top left iris is called "Rare Treat" and Alice is going to send me a baby sometime. I don't know the name of the orange and yellow daisy like flower . . . I just know I liked it. Then on the bottom row is one of Alice's favorite flowers, the Shasta Daisy. I really liked how they danced in the Oklahoma wind. I took a very short movie of them with my digital camera, but unfortunately I don't know how, or even if it's possible, to post a movie in a blog.
And finally, that last picture is of Gaura. It's wonderful. It has long spindly spider like stems that really move with the wind. I've got to figure out a place in my yard that would be suitable for Gaura.

Just looked up Gaura, see it will grow here. Wonder if in a pot it will do?
Cchris , how lovely your pictures are. They serve as a reminder to me of our week end with flowers. Flowers on Mothers Day ! :goodjob:  :mad:Mom

Beautiful!!! I just love flower pictures. The "Rare Treat" is simply gorgous! :sunny:
I'm behind... my goodness. I love the pictures you took of my garden. We finally had an inch of rain last night.
so the garden and I are both happy. The name of the yellow and orange flower is Galardia, commonly called "Indian blanket flower," though the ones I have in my garden are a little larger than the wildflower that grows around here and in Texas, as well.
