Here's what my driveway looked like when I got home from OKC. Plenty of blooms and plenty more to come. Unfortunately, I don't think I can cut any to bring in the house, because each plant has about 20 buds/blooms per stem. If I cut a bouqeut for the house then I'm also insuring that the other 15 buds won't ever bloom, so I guess I'll just be content to look at them out my kitchen window.
We have some very good friends coming tonight that we've known for 39 1/2 years. How can I be so certain how long we've known them? They were married 3 months after we were and moved to Edmond, Oklahoma when they got married. We met them at our church in Oklahoma City that same year and we've been good friends ever since. . . and that's a long time. Now they live in Ardmore, Oklahoma and we see them 2 or 3 times a year. Last time we got together (January) we decided that since it was both of our 40th anniversaries coming up that we ought to celebrate them together. And since we got married in April and they got married in June, we're splitting the difference and celebrating together in May. We're all going to Colorado Springs for a long week end. We'll laugh a lot, eat a lot, do some sight seeing in the day time and play cards until very late at night. Sounds like a perfect time.

Your flowers are beautiful. I usually enjoy mine outside. That way everyone else that passes by can enjoy them, too. :sunny:

Did you ever experiment and cut some to see if the blooms would open?
