While we were in Colorado Springs I found this adorable jeans skort (combination skirt and shorts) for my grand daughter. Those colorful stripes are actually zippers that zip up and down, opening or closing five pleats. The only problem was, they didn't have a coordinating top that went with it, so when I got home I went shopping and bought a plain hot pink T-Shirt that matches the pink zipper and a bunch of neon green and hot pink buttons of various sizes and sewed them on the T-Shirt. I think it's kind of cute, and it's a cinch that no one else will have a shirt just like hers.

Using buttons to make a coordinating outfit is a super Idea! I'm going to steal it if you don't mind. We've been usisng iron on appliques, but they are expensive and don't always stay looking nice around the edges.
Neat. :heartbeat: :heartbeat: :heartbeat:Mom
What a cute outfit. I bet she will love it. :goodjob:
RYC (that is "regarding your comment," btw -- oh, and "btw" is "by the way") There isn't much to catch the wind, Chris, so the verbena on a stick do remarkably well in our winds. And those stems are pretty sturdy, too.
