  • The picture above is of some beautiful Clematis growning on a house somewhere in OKC.  Of course, I had to call Alice just now to find out what the name of the flower was, because as we all know, remembering the names of flowers is just not my forte.

And here is a close up of another growth of Clematis.

The college reunion was a success . . somewhat disorganized, but a success nonetheless. We saw folks we hadn't seen in over 30 years.  Some were fellow students from the 60's, and some were my husband's students from the late 60's and early 70's.  Then there were several of the other professors from various years.  What a treat.

  • Beautiful. :goodjob:  I never dreamed you were blogging when you called this morning. I thought maybe you were planning to get a clematis vine. I may have to eventually get one to grow somewhere along the back fence. I didn't have great luck with them at the old garden but I know a little more about them now and will have to try it again.

  • When I lived in the south forty I had the  purple clematis on the front and back walls. I also had a pink one in the back called Nellie Mosher. I can remember the name because my neighbor's name was Mosher. You did good :goodjob: :heartbeat:Mom

  • I have one that same color blooming right now.....it's on my lamp post. So glad you enjoyed your reunion!

  • Your Clematis pictures are great!  :goodjob:  I'm glad that you had a good time at the reunion!

  • In Indy I had four clematis of different colors. They're not supposed to grow here in central Florida, but a neighbor has two vines that are doing OK. They're a little "skinny" but are in their second season. Mike

  • Wow, my grandparents are really into flowers, too. Those are nice flowers (love ur name, btw)

  • Wish I could try a clemantis. I love them. Dad had them.

  • These are so very beautiful - I love that purple dark blue color. I have the red/white one which I love, but have not seen these particular ones here. Colors I am very partial to.
