Another picture from Alice's garden. I just love her cosmos. I tried a patch of cosmos this year in my garden, but in the first location they just dried up. So I tried another patch of cosmos and this time I put them in the shade. Guess what? They didn't like that any better. I just don't know what the secret is.

RYC (that is "regarding your comment") I didn't do in all the cosmos, Chris. In fact the stand of cosmos in your picture yesterday are still there -- most of them, anyway. I don't know where the ones are you posted today. If they looked good, though, I didn't cut them down. About growing cosmos, I bet it was that you waited until hot weather to get them planted. They do like the sun, but they need to get started before it gets too hot. Did you know if you fertilize them they might just have foliage and no flowers? :lookaround:
Those cosmos are wonderful. Mine always get waaaay too big. These look perfect.
I like your handcrafted design here below. fun!
Take heart Christine my cosmos didn't do well this year. So maybe we both will have better luck next year. :) Think of all the fun you are going to have gardening next spring.
Alice does do more work in her gardens than anyone I know, too; and it really shows! :sunny:
I believe that gardening is an art and a talent. I have neither and have to trust what my landscaper put in. We have had a couple of failures I will have to try to replace on my own. I guess I will give him a call as I have had little luck in the past! Flowers are so wonderful!
