As promised . . close ups of the beautiful statuary that face the rose garden at Yaddo House.  Aren't they gorgeous! They are insulated from the highways and outside world by a dense stand of tall pine trees on all sides.  You really feel like you're in a different world.  Our hotel concierge said that the gardens were a birthday gift from the man of the house to his wife back in 1897.  Nice birthday present!

  • That is outstanding.  I have seen a lot of pieces in the cemeterys and so many are worn by the weather.  From here, those look like they have been standing out of the weather.  Really beautiful and their floral bouquets are lovely.  They have cameo qualities, all of them.  I have been studying them for a few minutes, and really like the one with the pinecones.  She really suits her surroundings.

  • They are exquisite!  They have such wonderful detail to them---and as Photographics says, they are in great shape----don't look deteriorated at all for their age.  What a treat to see.

  • Beautiful :goodjob:

  • The details are almost unbelievable they are so real and they have really with stood the tests of time. Can't wait til you and Alice make your "sister" trip so you will share your adventures.   HUGS
