Alice was at my house in Texas for 5 days this past week. The house above is, by the way, NOT my house in Texas. It's a house in Quincy, ILL. Alice left this morning, and while she was here she was great moral support. She was helping me with all the paperwork involved with my husband's death, but that's not all we did. Each evening after accomplishing all we could during business hours we'd spend time either playing Scrabble or playing on the computer. The picture above is an example of some of what she taught me about using Photo Shop. I've always used Paint Shop Pro, because I'm more familiar with it, but she says that Photo Shop is a lot more robust software package. So . . . I'm learning. Thanks, Alice.

That looks great! I love those old houses! I always wonder 1) what they looked like when they were first built, and 2) Who lived in them and what were their lives like?
That house is gorgeous. Would love to live in a place like that. Doesn't it remind you a bit of an old haunted house??
Glad Alice was there to help you out. When my mom died, my dad didn't know what to do with everything. Sis and I got everything straightened out. So much to go through with insurance, social security, credit cards, etc....... And because Dad wasn't very capable anymore, either, we had our names put on everything, too.
I like the enhancement a lot, Chris. :goodjob: I do believe that when you get used to working in PhotoShop you will love it.
I really enjoyed the last few days with you . :heartbeat:
It's so nice that your sister has been able to help you both emotionally and with the reams of paper that seem to go with the death of a loved one.
I always love your photos and some time I plan to have my husband show me how to use paint shop (or whatever it is we have on our computer, I know we have something!). And you're right -14 is too cold to be out (we hit -24 this morning with wind chill), luckily our school officials came to their senses and cancelled classes today!
I'm so glad that Alice was able to come spend some time with you, helping you and giving your moral support. It must be really great to have her for a sister! The picture is beautiful! I like your pictures of the buildings with the shadows below, too.:sunny:
Welcome back to bloggging, Chris. I am so glad that you and Alice spent some time together. :heartbeat::heartbeat::heartbeat:Mom
Lovely photo but I really like those of the ruins on the page.
I hope each day is getting easier for you. Always nice to have a sister to visit and a talented sis to help learn a software package when they get there. It's double nice to have her help with paper work. I would be no good at that one but the first I work on with all my visits to my one sis. She isn't very computerized but she tries.
Regards and have a super week,
I'll stick with learning my Paint Shop Pro. In fact I do a lot of my work in version 7 still.
