  • Well, I took the week end off and went down to San Antonio to celebrate my son's birthday.  Actually his birthday is today . . . Valentine's Day, but we celebrated over the week end since he had to work on his actual birthday.  It makes you realize just how old you are when your "baby" turns 36 years old.   His wife, his mother-in-law and I all went together and got him a new guitar. . . a Joe Satrioni one.  Evidently that's like driving a Ford and then getting a Jaguar.  I don't know a thing about the differences in guitars, so I'll just have to take his word for it.  He THOUGHT he was getting an effects pedal, and boy was he pleasantly surprised.

  • :lol: Just read your first comment. I get kids like that too sometimes. They think that since they joined xanga (several years after we did) that it's theirs.  I'm glad D had a nice birthday. :goodjob:

  • I didn't know our sons were the same age--or if I did I forgot.  Mine will be 36 in June.

  • Wait till your baby turns 40. Talk about humbling! Luckily, I was a very young mother [ahem!] and so it doesn't mean I'm old. (isn't delusion a wonderful thing? LOL)

  • Happy Birthday to your son!  So, his birthday is the day before your mom's!

  • Glad you had a fun weekend. You were lamenting about how old your son made you feel. Just wait until your baby is 48 years old.:laugh: My younger daughter is going to have her 48th birthday in April. Oh my that really does make me feel old.
