I had such a good time today. I got my hair done first thing this morning and then ran 4 errands before going to lunch with a couple friends. It was a loooooong lunch too. . . from noon till 2:30, but what the heck, we're all unemployed now. It was a fun lunch and then off to another friend's house (Darlene) where I helped her out with some software issues she was having. Then we both made a trip to Calloways (a local nursery) to get the results of the soil analysis she had them run for her, as well as a couple of geranium plants for pots on her patio. This all took up the entire rest of the afternoon. Darlene had the brilliant idea to go back to my house and pick up a couple DVD's which we took back over to her house. We watched "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" after we returned from having supper at SONIC . . . well, not really supper . . . more like a hot fudge sundae. All in all, a pretty non stressful and thoroughly wonderful day. And to top it all off, I played a game of Scrabble with Alice tonight over the internet and I won . . . I won. I can tell you that doesn't happen very often.

I love that movie, too. You are just getting too good at scrabble. :goodjob:
:sunny: Hooray for fun days. Isn't it great to have friends to just hang out with? :fun: Congratulation for winning the scrabble game. I can imagine how hard it would be to beat Alice.
Have a blessed weekend & God keep you safe, healthy & happy. HUGS
:sunny:Sounds like my kind of fun day, Chris. I love to get together with my women friends. Do men have as much fun when they have a guy thing? I don't think so.

Sounds like a great day that needs repeating.
That movie isn't one of my favorites but I look forward to Steve Martins "Pink Panther" and Michael Caine in this one is one of my favorites, The Man Who Would Be King (1975).
I watched "White Men Can't Jump" with Woodie Harrolson, yesterday on TV. I wouldn't buy it and I buy a lot of movies. We did purchase two I really wanted this past week, the new Harry Potter to keep that set building and the new King Kong. I love the adventure types and King Kong is not only a love story but very Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones type. I loved it and am going to pick up the original which I have never seen, sad to say. I am a definite movie fan who will die long before I ever see all on my list. I enjoy a game of scrabble but am not sure I can beat anyone at it.
Good going on your Scrabble win! When I go to Arizona to visit my family, my sis and I play Scrabble. We keep up a running total of wins and losses. I used to win more than she did, but she likes to play it on her computer now, so she is ahead in the tally now. We like playing with each other. Our intelligence is pretty much the same, and we play it the same way. When she tries to play with anyone else, they have different "rules", or different ways of playing, and she doesn't enjoy it.
Just think---pretty soon you won't have to play each other online. You can visit each other in person and play. Also, you can play with your mom. Now what could be better than that????
So will you play scrabble in person when you move there? I have never played the internet version but it must be nice to know you're never missing any pieces!
Truth be told, we'll probably play Scrabble BOTH ways . . . in person AND over the internet. I can see us playing over the internet on those very cold icy evenings . . . you know, when I'm too lazy to walk three doors down to her house.
