  • Today was MOVE IN DAY at my new apartment and also STORAGE DAY for the rest of my stuff.  I'll show you pictures of my apartment later, but thought I'd show you pictures from the storage unit part of today.  This is my van outside the U-StoreAll unit that will be home for the next 5 to 6 moths for the stuff that won't fit into my tiny apartment.  The four man crew was just the nicest bunch of guys.

     


    They really worked hard to pack the stuff in the storage unit very well so that I wouldn't have to rent an additional unit.



    And here they are sticking in the last item.  See, it's just about flush with the door and just barely fits under the door.  This storage unit is FULL.  Each piece is fitted in like one huge jig saw puzzle.  I don't envy the guys that will eventually have to unload it when my house is finished.   That will be "the REST of the story".


    See the short guy?  You wouldn't believe how strong he is. When he was carrying a large book case, he looked like those pictures of ants when they're carrying pieces of leaves 10 times their own size and weight.  These guys were really amazing.

  • I guess you will be resisting going into storage for something. At least you have your sister there to help with whatever you might be missing.

  • I don't really envy you.  Moving is such a chore.  It would indeed be much easier to move if we didn't have so much "stuff".  It doesn't look like so much until you have to pack and unpack.  It will be great when it's finally finished!

  • I'm glad your moving experience was good.. Not many people are able to say that.  I felt as stuffed as that storage unit after my Mother's Day lunch today.
