  • Oops, SOMEWHERE in all that jigsaw puzzle of furniture and boxes below are all of my dress shoes.  For now I have only the tennis shoes I was wearing when I drove to OKC on Friday.  I didn't realize my shoes were "missing" until Sunday morning when I was getting dressed for church.  Before the move I had gone through all my shoes to weed out the ones that were slightly uncomfortable or that I hadn't worn in a long time and ended up giving away a whole box of shoes . . . but I still had over 20 pairs, so I marked 6 pairs to go to my apartment and all the others to go into storage, but alas, they ALL went to storage.  So now I'll have to get a pair of Sunday high heels and a pair of black flats to wear the next 6 months and that may not be such an easy thing to do because I wear a 10AAA.  In Dallas I could only get shoes at Nordstroms and there is no Nordstroms in OKC.  I sure hope I don't have to drive to Dallas just to get 2 pair of shoes.

  • Well, everything couldn't go perfectly, you know!!  If that is all that went wrong, you are fortunate.  And new shoes are always fun!  I have the opposite problem from you.  I also wear a 10, but usually need a double wide.  Once in a great while a wide will work, but not very often.

  • I used to work at Nordstrom :sunny: So check online and see if they don't have what you would like to ship to you.  And if not or there are something you have in mind knowing the brand or maybe the description and call your old Nordstrom - see if they can't ship you a pair or two.  Hope that helps :p

  • :sunny:Hi..oh, I wouldn't worry, I think they would understand..if there is any place that would..:) that would be it...perhaps you can find a pair of those slippers that look like shoes...either way...I am happy you are there at last..and things look great...even the sneakers..:wink:take good care..lee

  • Wow... 10AAA is probably as difficult (if not more) to find as my 8.5 EEEE

  •   I am so glad you just have little things to worry about now.:heartbeat::heartbeat:

  • Well, that is mighty inconvenient! I'm sorry about that. It would be one thing if you had a more common shoe size, but geez, louise. One time I ordered shoes from Zappos.com and they arrived at my house early the next morning. I was completely floored. I think they have a lot of sizes. You might check them out. it would be quicker than driving to Dallas (and I think the shipping is free!)

  • Oh my. Just pray that is the only thing you find that is "missing" after the move. I'm just thankful you are there safe and sound and ready to tackle home building.

Have a blessed week & God keep you safe, healthy & happy. HUGS

  • That's terrible luck.

  • We wear sneaks, sandles, boat shoes, and yes, even dress shoes to our church services. Nice and casual. The head pastor even wears aloha shirts to preach in. Mike
