Do I feel silly!!! Regarding Wednesday's post, I completely forgot that I could post from ANY computer . . . it doesn't have to be MY computer. Yesterday was moving day and I spent the evening at my friend Darlene's house in Dallas. Then I got up early this morning and went back over to the now empty house and cleaned it really well. Then I went to the title company for paperwork and finally headed out for Oklahoma City. I'm staying with Alice tonight and the moving van should be rolling up to my apartment door around 8 tomorrow morning. Hopefully I'll be sleeping in my own little apartment and in my own bed by tomorrow night. I MAY sleep for two days.

Can you see it?
It's really hard to see, but Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal have built a nest in this bush just outside my breakfast room window. If you look in the full pane on the right side of the picture and look about 1/3 of the way down in that pane and right in the middle (left to right) you'll see the red beak of Mrs. Cardinal. I can't believe they picked this spot. Granted it's in the very narrow side yard that I hardly ever venture into, but I pass by this window a hundred times a day and I'd have thought that would make it a less desirable location. But maybe they know I'm no threat on the other side of the window.
See, here's a close up of her in her lovely nest.

Packing, packing and more packing. Actually, today I really didn't get that much packed. I packed only until about 8:30 this morning. Then I spent about an hour on the phone with my builder's Marketing guy going over the details. We play a lot of phone tag and yesterday I accidentally had my cell phone on vibrate rather than ring, so I missed him again.
Then after talking to him I decided I'd better start letting all the utility companies and credit card companies know that I'm moving and the effective date of that move. I got 27 of the 38 companies called before I ran out of business day. . . you are put on hold a lot when doing this sort of thing. That really eats into the time.
And then in the middle of the day my friend came to pick up the recliner and the entire dining room set and that took over an hour. I was also supposed to paint a small section of outside wall today, but it rained. So hopefully it won't rain tomorrow.
