Very rewarding, yet very tiring.
Today Alice and I spent the bulk of the day at the plant sale her Garden Club was participating in. We spent the morning setting up for the sale, and then selling plants before we switched at 10AM to work in the kitchen the rest of the day selling cold drinks, lunches, cookies and brownies. We sold a TON of cold drinks, because it was very hot in OKC today (101), but not as many lunches. For one thing, I'm told the crowd was smaller this year because of the extreme heat. But . . . we had a good time non the less.
And here's a shot of some of the kitchen crew girls.

:sunny: And just think... after all that work, you STILL want to join the garden club. :sunny:
What a great way to get involved in the community. 101 is too hot. You two are troupers!
I can understand why people didn't want to go out in 101 temps!
I was so upset this morning when I opened up the newspaper and saw pics of the garden show in the town next to us yesterday. I knew it was yesterday, but didn't mark it on the calendar, and it completely slipped my mind yesterday! Arrrggghhh!! Glad you had a good time. Alice certainly is keeping you busy, isn't she??!!
Looks like a lot of fun. Glad you are enjoying your new community and settling in such a short time.
Have a blessed week & God keep you safe, healthy & happy. HUGS
It looks like everyone was having fun, even in the 101 degree heat! :sunny:
