  • What a crazy mixed up mess!  I'm flying to San Antonio this week end to spend time with my son, daughter-in-law and my granddaughter.  I was supposed to fly out about a half an hour ago, but obviously I didn't because I'm still here typing.

You see, Alice gave me tickets to the Lyric Theater for my birthday and somehow, I forgot to write the three dates on my calendar.  Last night as Alice and I were talking on the phone she thought she'd better just double check to see exactly when the dates were for the three plays, and low and behold, the first of our tickets is for this afternoon, when I should be in San Antonio. And to make matters worse, today is the LAST day for this production.

Well, I'd already gone online and printed out my boarding pass for this morning, and I didn't think once you'd done that that you could change your ticket.  Later last night my son called to confirm that I was all packed and ready to fly to San Antonio today (Saturday), which I said I was. I mentioned to him that due to the mix up I'd be missing The Beauty & The Beast, which was part of my birthday present from Alice.  He wondered out loud why I just didn't call Southwest and have my flights changed.  He assured me that it was not impossible to change it even though I'd already printed out my boarding pass. That was very very late last night, so early this morning (6AM) I called Southwest and changed my flight from Saturday to Sunday.  I then called Alice to give her the good news, but she'd already promised the ticket to another friend.  Sooooo, then Alice went on line to purchase another ticket to the show, but refused to use my credit card.  I think I should pay for the extra ticket and she thinks she should.  Trust me, we'll get this all sorted out sooner or later.  But bottom line . . . I'm going to see "Beauty and the Beast" WITH Alice.  We'll let you know how it is.

6PM Update:  It was FABULOUS !!!!
