I took a hike through the Martin Nature Reserve today. . . that is until it started raining on me. We've had such hot weather this summer and it was so beautiful today that I just had to go. I'd been there years ago and wanted to see it again. And I was pleasantly surprised at how easily I hiked. I guess all those work out days at the gym with Alice are indeed making a difference.

:sunny:Another wild place close to you? I am in the middle of a new neighborhood here and there are no woods for miles around. Driving to the beach is a hassle too. That's why I want a pretty back yard. At least I can go back there (when the weather permits) and commune with a little bit of nature.

Yes, lucky me. Martin Park Nature Reserve is just about the same distance from my current residence as the Arbor Hills Nature Reserve was from my Texas home. I do love hiking in the woods.
I am so glad that you remembered Martin Nature, it is so restful for the eyed. :heartbeat::heartbeat::heartbeat:Mom
That looks quite lovely. I love to hike around the mountains here. Our weather hasn't been permitting of much hiking with rain, lightening and such. The bears are down from the mountains fattening up at this time so one must always remember to make noise, my neighbor says she always feels kind of silly talking to herself aloud when hiking...of course now she has dogs (and a relatively new husband) to hike with!
RYC, at this church they were pretty quick in finding their spot in the bibles, I think it's because he was continuing on from last week's passage...of course next Sunday I'll be there frantically leafing through my bible trying to remember where it was he read from. :fun:

That is a beautiful shot. It looks nice and peaceful there. I'm glad that Alice and you are getting to see more of each other.
