End of the Trail. That's the name of this statue in the National Cowboy Hall of Fame. We were taken to lunch at the buffet there today. It's a BEAUTIFUL facility that I haven't been in for 43 years. You see, it was under construction when I was in college and it was about a half mile from our campus and some of us students used to walk down to the construction site on pretty afternoons. They had actually halted construction on it for a couple years because of lack of money, so this was really the first time I've ever seen it completed.
Alice and I will probably do it "properly" when we do our sister trip in early October, because all we really saw today was the lobby, the rest room and the buffet area.

I'm looking forward to doing it properly... in about a week
Great pics. Hope to see more from the fair.
I didn't realize you were still posting over here. I keep going to your new house site. One xanga sends on, this one it doesn't. Need to check my settings.
Enjoy all your pictures. :goodjob: The picture of "End of the Trail" reminds me of when I was a kid and my Mom taking my picture by the End of the Trail sculpture at the park in Visalia Calif. I've always loved it and admired the way the artist caught the very exhaustion of the warrior and his horse.
Have a blessed week & God keep you safe, healthy & happy. HUGS
:sunny:Oh lovely** and I just read on Alice's site that you are going away for a few days *tomorrow*:fun:Wanted to wish you a safe and happy trip* enjoy* your time together...hope it's just wonderful:) take care..hugs* love, Lee:heartbeat:
:goodjob:ps what a gorgeous photo* and that sky..wow:)
Yep I like the sky too in the windows. I think I've seen small statues of this sculpture on mantels and book shelves. It really is a moving (emotional) piece of art.
