  • XANGABathroomStainGlass

I've been trying to find a suitable place to hang this stain glass piece and finally found the perfect spot in the master bath. I don't know why it didn't occur to me earlier to hang it there.  The colors work and the pattern evens work with the art work on both walls around the tub.  As Alice pointed out they're all made of bits of solid color.  I've also been just a little concerned about whether neighbors could see through the glass blocks at night when the lights are on in the bathroom, and this will just help to obscure the view a bit more.

  • Very pretty.  I have always wanted to learn how to make stained glass.  It's on my list of things to do, but with glass, lead and soldering I'll wait until the kids are a little older! I like the Art Nouveau styles of Charles Rennie Macintosh.

  • I love it!  I had wanted one similar.  But a 1/2 circle.  Wanted it for my living room.  It would have fit perfectly in the bottom half of one of our double-hung windows.  It was online at Homedecorators.com, which seems to be part of Home Depot.  Anyway, while my grands were here I was looking at it online, and also at a pedestal which was lit, and had a tiffany design.  They talked me into the pedestal instead.  It does look nice here in the living room, but I still would like my half-round for the window, too.  Just have to wait a while until Ken settles down.  He keeps complaining about all our "stuff"!!  lol

Just seeing yours makes me want one even more.  It is the perfect spot for it.  The blue bottles are a perfect accent for it.

  • That's beautiful Chris!  I've always liked stained glass.

  • How very beautiful, Chris!   Light through stained glass is so mesmerizing to me ~ and I love to see light twinkling through hanging crystals too.

  • Gorgeous:good-job: How lovely the colors will be when the sun shines through it. Stay warm this weekend, seems as if you like us are supposed to get covered up with snow again this weekend.

Have a blessed weekend & God keep you safe, healthy & happy. HUGS

  • It is a truly beautiful piece, and it would be a big shame if you hadn't found room for it somewhere in your new house.
Don't shoot me, Chris, but I tagged you for that "6 weird things about me" thingy. Rules are on my xanga.

  • Perfect spot! Mike
