  • The storms last night might have been pretty bad somewhere else, but the weather wasn't anything to be afraid of here in our part of Oklahoma City.  Oh, that sound you heard was a big sigh of relief from me.

  • 18" of snow is predicted for our area by the time it ends--sometime Monday.  I am not a happy camper!!

Your yard is looking good!   I wonder how long it will be before Alice convinces you to make your whole backyard into garden, like hers!  lol

  • I am glad it went by and all your hard work wasn't ruind. Have a great Sunday! :sunny:

  • And a sigh of relief from me too.  This is our first spring in OK and the tornado watch on Friday night was my first :o h-well:.  I'm so glad I bought a weather radio as a birthday pressie for my Hubby last year.

  • Glad you didn't have the bad weather they were predicting. We got the winds yesterday and the cold too. 40 mph sustained with gusts to 60 about blew us away.  Your flower beds are beginning to really take shape. Are you going to put in a fence? Most of the houses around here have fences, not only for privacy but to help stop the wind from blowing the plants out of the ground by the roots.

Have a blessed week & God keep you safe, healthy & happy.   HUGS

  • Today is Sunday for this comment and I just talked my hubby  a couple of hours ago who is travelling through OK City.  He said it was a pretty day today where he was so I'm guessing everything is still OK there.   I know you must be looking forward to SPRING!!!

  • Yes, I'll be putting in a fence.  I am getting 5 different bids this week and will make a decision by this week end as to who gets to do it.

  • Hello, there! I discovered your blog through your sister's blog. You both seem like very sweet people, so I've subscribed. There's so much "ick" on the internet, it's really nice to read someone with a sweet spirit. I also read some of your mom's blog and have subscribed to her as well. I wish my mom could capture some of what the three of you have. A spirit for life, for activity, for involvement without defeat in spite of trials. She's 63 and you'd think she was 85. Your mom I gather, on the other hand, is 85 and acts like she's in her fifties! Anyway, I am glad you were safe during the storm scare.

  • Just stopping by to say "hi".   I can imagine you and Chris are working in your garden!   Thanks for coming by and for you comment.

  • RYC:  Your partially working bread machine sounds like the perfect solution.  Mine does the same, and then, after raising the dough too much, starts baking it.  By the time I think to look again, the top has collapsed.  But it still tastes good.
