  • SideSideWalkFromFront

This is what Alice and I have been working at for several days . . . my side walk.  We started on this project back before the big snow storm and haven't been able to work any more on it until last week, then again today. We actually finished the SIDE side walk today and we're both bushed.

And this is the unfinished BACK side walk.  We plan to finish it tomorrow.  We only have about 15 more feet to go to take the side walk out to where the back fence will be (the fence should happen next week). I believe I can speak for both of us when I say that we will be VERY glad when this project is finally complete.

  • :applause: Excellent work! Well done ladies!

  • That is so good.  I notice on your profile that we are the same age.  Wish I could still do the things you are doing.  I really resent not being able to do what I use to do.  Where are you in OK City area?  We have cousins in Norman.  Are you anywhere close?  Can't remember my graphics around there as to how far from the city they are.

  • Such a huge job.  I love the color of the brick.  Take a hot bath and go to bed early.

  • I'll be glad when the walk is finished.... but won't it be fun to pick out shrubs and plant them? And those stargazer bulbs you bought today... You are going to have a great backyard, Chris -- and won't it be nice to know you didn't have to hire everything done? See you at work tomorrow. :giggle:

  • My sister tells me epsom salts are excellent for sore muscles -- she's an antepartum nurse and taking care of those pregnant mommies-to-be can be awfully taxing on the back. Sounds as though you and your sister are blessed with the same close friendship that me and my sister have. Isn't it wonderful? :what-fun: :what-fun:

  • What an awesome job. You both should feel very proud of yourselves for such awesome work! :good-job:

  • Christine,  your diligence in picking up those unwanted bricks and rocks last year certainly has paid off!  It looks wonderful!! :good-job:

  • :good-job: It looks great Chris!

  • It is looking so very nice, Chris.  But, what a LOT of work.  NOw the fun begins--picking out plants and shrubs.  I just bet Alice will talk you into lots of daylilies!!  lol

  • I have to do something with my leftover daylilies
