VOILA!!!  We have a fence.  I know that's not such a big deal in the grand sceme of the world, but I'm excited to have my fence.

The sides are both 6 feet tall, but the back fence is a 4 foot spaced picket fence.

Here's a close up of the back fence and the back gate.  Tomorrow the guy should come and plant the Lacebark Elm tree in the back yard and also edge the flower beds.

  • Lookin' good!!

  • I like how the back is a picket and "open" so you're not closed in by the fence. I guess that gulley is close enough there won't be a house right behind yours.

The brick sidewalk lined with stones looks wonderful. You two are sure working hard. I thought of you when I was in my garden today. I almostfeel like I have as much to do as you do! I asked a gardener to come tomorrow to help me rip out flower beds that aren't working. I just wish I knew what to do!

  • Why did you do the back fence differently?  No problem with privacy back there or what?  You are doing a wonderful job.  When you finish maybe you and your friend could come take a look at this place and tell us what we need to do.

  • :sunny: Looking Good!

  • I love the way the brick path meanders up to the gate. Can't wait to see what it all looks like when you get your shrubbery/landscaping goodies in place! :sunny:

  • :good-job:  Let the planting begin!!

I'm going to consult with my Dad when we are home, he designed their garden from scratch.

  • I need a front walk laid, might you and Alice come do it? :good-job:

  • Chris -- will Ebenezer have a place? You really inspired me to get out today and do some basic stuff up here -- cut grass, shrub trimming, planted some caladium bulbs (and broke a pvc pipe ... I thought it was a big root!). Much love and blessings, Mary

  • How exciting for you! :what-fun:   Your walkway is so lovely, sweet, and definitely has a cottage feel to it.   That was alot of work!!!   Can't wait to see things blooming!
