And it rained some more . . . actually a lot more. We got 3.5 inches yesterday and most of that was between 4PM and 9PM. We had tornado warnings and lots and lots of rain.
This is a shot from back in November so you can see how the gulley out behind my house USUALLY looks. See, not a drop of water.
This is what the gulley looked like around 6PM last night. It actually got a little bit worse than this, but I didn't want to go out in the heavy rain to take another picture.
And below is what it looked like this morning when I went out to inspect the back yard and the gulley.
I think now I can appreciate that steep embankment and that gulley a lot more. I'd hate to think what that would have done to our houses and back yards had the gulley NOT been there.

We would have gotten very wet
h-well: We had 3.9 inches of rain yesterday in our rain gauge.
We had 4 inches of rain in our rain gauge. I ventured out last night to Olive Garden with friends there was a lot of water out and about. Our creek looked like a mini Lake Hefner!
Sure wish you could share the rain with us. We keep getting promised rain but very little falls. We do have more grass already this year than we had all last few years with the drought so hopefully we won't be so dry this year. We are still way behind.
I'm sure that you do appreciate the "gulley" surely does help to channel the water away from the houses and into the lake. With as much rain as we have all had this spring I can't wait to see the wild flowers between here and Okla City. They should be georgeous.
Have a blessed week & God keep you safe, healthy & happy. HUGS
A few minutes of memories of TX low water crossing?
Wow, that looks like a river!
:sunny: Glad you have good drainage. We can use any left over rain you have coming your way, please send it to us.. Snowpack melting too fast in our mountains now.
