I drove down to San Antonio to have a mini Candy Days with my daughter-in-law.  It was a lot less complicated for me to drive down there rather than have her drive up to OKC for the regular Candy Days. And I'm sure my son would rather not have his wife leave him alone with the two kids (8 months and 20 month old) they're trying to adopt. He'd be crawling up the wall by the 2nd day.  Anyway, we made enough candy for both of them to take to their offices.

I got back Saturday evening and I'm soooooo glad I did. Sometime in the night it snowed and sleeted and I would have hated to be driving in that. Our church services were even canceled today because of the bad roads.

  • What fun!  I'm looking forward to this Friday.

I'm glad you got back home before the weather turned bad.  No school or work today for any of us because of the ice storm.

  • yummy. I'm really SO GLAD you made it back. We'll be lucky to get out by the end of this week with this freezing rain -- and more on the way.

  • Some day when you come to SA you will have to give me a call. I'm sure somewhere sometime a cup of java could be had.

  • YUM!!! Don't suppose any of them are WW friendly? lol Glad you made it home before the storm hit.

I am so glad you are feeling up to decorating a bit. We've pulled out the holiday decorations from the Duffy's. Vika loves her village and the soft presents. The  white angels are up all year long. How exciting that there are some grand children 'in the works'... hope the adoption goes well. I'm still on the board of Hope International here in Dallas. If I can be of help, let me know! Much love!
