  • In Oklahoma, no matter the season, and on almost every day of the year, WIND is a given. And one of the great things about wind is that it really makes a wind sock a fun thing to have and watch. Here's my current wind sock in action.

  • What you can't see is how bitterly cold that wind is today.  I'm just back from lunch - brrrrrr.  I think I need some hot tea to warm me up! :o h-well:

  • We live on the side of a hill that slopes to the southeast-south-southwest. We always have wind too. I put out wind chimes but they are out by Wil's garage and in a tree. The ones on the porch are like church bell chimes and this summer I intend to get some really long big deep tone ones. Have to keep all where we can't hear them from the bedroom and most where they don't come in over the tv etc. I have a banner flag on the porch post and it just about rips away as does the American Flag on Wil's garage. We replace the US Flag several times a year.

  • We lost a few shingles on Monday due to this Oklahoma wind....hubby had to climb up there & replace them friday morning....

  • OOps...I meant today (tuesday) he replaced the shingles...excuse my typo....

  • I love wind socks and patio flags, but as you know TX sun likes to take out the color rather quickly. So one of my fun things was hang a cd room out in the tree. wind plus sun makes it so pretty.

  • It's been windy here in Texas too.   And someone should release that poor tortured fish.    LOL
