We got almost 3 inches of rain over night last night and when I went out into the yard this morning all the blooms were rather water logged and I wouldn't have given a plug nickle for any of them turning out OK, but most of them had "dried out" and were beautiful by late this afternoon. We can sure use the rain, so that's a really good thing.
I planted the plants that I bought at our Garden Club plant sale this past week end, and it was easy because the soil was soaked. Later this week I think I'll dig up all the Gaillardia that are looking so sickly in my yard. Who knows why they do, but they do, so as far as I'm concerned . . . they're outta here. Alice is so right about gardening . . . it's all trial and error.

That's too bad about your Gaillardia. I'm not having a huge success for my Gerbera daisies, but everything else is doing well including the Gaura in a pot! It certainly is a learning experience- huh?
Lovely now send us the rain.
Sure is different gardening there than TX huh.
btw none of the images are showing in the little smiley section. Now let's see if it takes here.
