The Splint Came Off Today
As some of you may know I fell some time ago and tore the tendon in my ring finger on my right hand. The doctor put a splint on it eight long weeks ago to see if we could avoid surgery, and it looks like it may have been successful. We’ll know after two days if it is or not, but it’s looking good. Supposedly, if the digit is going to droop it would be within the first two days and probably within the first 6 to 9 hours. It’s been 6 1/2 hours already and still no droopy digit. YEAH! I still have to wear the splint to bed each night, but don’t have to wear it in the daytime any more unless it starts drooping again. If the next two weeks go well, I’ll then start exercises to gain flexibility in that knuckle again.

Here’s hoping your finger continues to not “droop.”
We got more snow overnight, Chris… quite a bit. It’s pretty, but it better melt fast on the roads or our Christmas may be Thursday or Friday.
I’m glad that your finger seems to be healing well – if only I had such a good excuse for my inability to get things done for the holiday . . .
Happy new year!!
Think positive; hope your finger continues to do well.

…i hope this year is a good one for you, beginning with a permanently fixed finger – no droopy finger. Must say, you were a good patient those eight weeks. Didn’t read one complaint from you on the inconvenience of the cast. Love and energy,
Congratulations on getting the splint off. I know that must have really hampered you.
congrats on getting the splint off. Love your site and colors!!
Hoping your finger continues to not “droop.” Chris…
Hoping that your stay away from Xanga is due to laziness or business and not because of a droopy finger or some other issue.
Actually it’s due to a busy busy schedule AND the fact that my home computer died and my only blogging has to be done from my work computer . . . I can hardly wait for my computer to get fixed. But thanks for your concern.
Yay! Here is hoping that you won’t have a droopy finger!
…i keep popping in to see if you have posted. And, you haven’t! How is the droopy finger?
