If you can imagine this scene going on non stop for 6 long blocks.  It was a sea of daffodils.  We’re back from our trip to England and I thought I’d share some photos (surprise, surprise).  I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many daffodils in my life, and I don’t think I’ll ever see a daffodil again that I don’t think about England.  Our trip was scheduled a little too early for all the spring flowers, but the daffs were sure out in force.  They were everywhere too, not just in the parks.   They were in people’s yards, on median strips, along the side of the highways . . . really everywhere.  I’ll show you what I mean.

  • Those are beautiful pictures! I am so glad that you had a great vacation. I can’t wait to see an enhanced photo of some quaint old place that you caught on film!

  • Gorgeous!!  The daffodils weren’t out in such full force when we were there just a week ago.  I love the pictures!

  • Welcome back. But, I’m bummed. Xanga is not displaying pictures for me right now, so I’m missing your photos.

    I’ll be back. Mike

  • Wow!  Your photos are great!  I’ll probably never get to see England other than through your pictures.  I can’t wait to see more.

  • WELCOME BACK!  The pictures of the daffodils are gorgeous.  Come visit my blog and see the pics of the Cherry Blossoms in DC.  They were really, really pretty this year.  HUGS!

  • Finally, finally I got my graphic back. Wonderful photos. Mike

  • Beautiful pics, and we are glad you are back!!!!

  •  :sunny:  Your photos are so wonderful.  I can’t imagine those stone cottages.  That to me is just wonderful, to see them.  Everytime I do, I am in a film with Sherlock Holmes or with LoveJoy or in Ireland on the program that I love and can’t for the life of me think of it’s name.  ah well, age continues to creep up on me.  anyway, It looks as though you had a wonderful trip and the photos are so great.  I am glad you took all of them.  I have some on my site right now, nothing as nearly as fantastic but hope you will stop to see them.

Best regards and I am glad you had such a wonderful trip.  :sunny:

  • I was in London this spring. There were long rivers of blue-violet grape hyacinths in Kew Gardens, we were too early for the daffodills, I would have liked to have seen them. I always go to Kew when I am in London. The best botanical gardens in the world. If you go you might like the follies, old bridges and pyramids and little temples to greek gods as well as a palace scattered around the gardens.
