  • A Cotswold cottage in Burton on the Water in England . . . Photo and enhancement by Chris Duffy

I just love all the honey colored cottages that are so prevalent in the Cotswold district of England.  And I think it’s interesting how they all have names as well as addresses.  This one was called Riverside House and there is a small stream that runs right through the town.  It just blows my mind that some of these houses are older than our COUNTRY.  Imagine that.  And those stone walls and fences are ever present too.

  • It is amazing about the age of stuff in Europe. We just have not frame of reference to appreciate it. Mike

  • Beautiful…I love the stone fences.
I think we should name houses here, too. What shall I name my new house, Chris… any ideas?

  •  :goodjob: Absolutely fabulous!!! Is the river directly in front of the stone wall?  :sunny:

  • I knew it! I knew it! You have wonderful pictures to enhance………….this one is beautiful!!

  • What a lovely cottage!  Thanks for sharing your pictures.  They are really good. :goodjob:

  • I love the stone fences too, Alice.  I’ll have to think about what you could name your new house.

And no, eternal sojourner, the river was somewhere behind the house.  It was a street in front of the house.

  • What a wonderful place.  I am so glad to see some of it through your eyes and your camera.  Just terrific.  :spinning:
