A house in Broadway in England Photo and enhancement by Chris Duffy
Broadway is one of the towns that we didn’t get around to visiting last trip and we’d heard it was just as delightful as our favorite, Burford, so we made sure we spent a whole day there this time. We were not disappointed either. It had everything a tourist could want; lovely cottages, a church yard with gravestones, and plenty of places to shop and eat.

Here we go again with gates and stone walls, but I do like them and they were everywhere. What could I do? I had to take pictures of them. You can barely see in this picture, to the left of the window, a statue of a little girl holding a dog. I do wish that I had noticed it when I was taking this picture, because I would have liked to have gotten a close up of her. But, there was so much to take in that I couldn’t possibly have noticed everything.
This is as good a close up as I’m going to be able to come up with after the fact.

Presumptuous, yes but if I die and go to heaven, I hope it looks a little like some of your pictures. I love these houses so much that you have photographed. I really do. :sunny:
I hope you have a great one.
:goodjob: Lovely photos as always Christine!!! Difficult to believe people still live in the old old houses. Wonder if they are drafty in winter?
:sunny:HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO YOU and YOUR READERS! :heartbeat:
I can sure see why you jumped at the chance to go back to England. :heartbeat: I hope I get to someday while I can still walk and hold a camera. :goodjob:
