  • Providence Cottage located in Burford, England.    Photo and enhancement by Chris Duffy

This cottage was named Providence Cottage. It’s on the main drag in Burford, England.  Next time, if there IS a next time, I think we’ll rent one of the cottages right in one of the little towns, rather than one out in the country.  Heck, the little towns are just like country only with shopping added.

This little park is just one block off the main street in Burford and looked so inviting, although we never saw anyone using it the whole days.

Oh, I thought I’d give y’all another rat update. . . one down, two to go.  YEAH!

  • ROFLOL at your rat update and your sister’s graphics!!! You two must be trouble on wheels when you’re together!!!

Love the picture Christine!!! Oh, your plan sound wonderful!!! Won’t you need someone to tag along? I ‘m available for travel!  :giggle:

  • I may havve mentioned “Notting Hill” a movie I have recently purchased and it shows vaguely some of what you are photographing.  I think if I ever got to travel, You have sold me on these areas of England.  The photos are just making me so envious of being able to see something so wonderful.  Also, a favorite TV show of mine came out of England, called “LoveJoy” a british detective type thing but very fun and off the beaten path as the British PBS shows are.  I loved it and of course, it isn’t one left on to view anymore.  Somehow my favorites are always taken off.  You were able to see similar homes, surroundings in that show as you are showing in your photos.  I’d love to have the disks for those shows.

  • I like this atomosphere../N *

  • We used to watch “Love Joy” also . . . and loved it.  Have you seen “Hattie Wainthrop”?  It stars the lady from Keeping up Appearances, only in Hattie, she’s started her own detective agency.  Love it, but there aren’t enough episodes for it to be on regularly.
