Syringa Cottage in Lechlade, England Photo and Enhancement by Chris Duffy
Yet another cottage that would be perfect as a retirement home. And it’s off the beaten path, so it might not be quite as pricey as some other ones. . . but alas, even at, that it’s probably so far out of our price range it’s pathetic. Oh, well. It was wonderful to go visit there. I suspect I wouldn’t like the Cotswold winters anyway . . . wet and cold and more wet and cold. Hubby would love that, but I definately don’t like cold winters. Give me spring and fall any day.
I have more ivy and sedum to plant today, so I’d better get to it, instead of sitting here dreaming of things that will never be.

:nono: Don’t you even THINK about moving way over to England… ya hear? :giggle:
Each home is more precious than the next. I can barely stand it when I look at them. I just sit here shaking my head, overwhelmed with how darling they all are. It’s almost too much sometimes to know I won’t ever get to see them. I was thinking last night that Scotland probably has so much of it also, the darling homes and gardens and rocky cliffs. Ireland also. I think I would love to see those 3 places if I could ever have the chance. Thanks so much for just being able to see them in a photo.

Your England pictures are BEAUTIFUL! So peaceful…
Next time we go to England we’ve GOT to get out of London. Your pictures are so beautiful and London proper is so…not.
So how do you keep the ivy and sedum under control once they start grooooowing?
