Ice Cream Shop in Chesapeake City Photo and enhancement by Chris Duffy
This was one of my favorite shots from my sister Alice and my vacation in the Chesapeake Bay area. And this was one of our favorite little towns there; we liked it so much we visited it twice. On the second visit we caught a band concert in the park and had an ice cream cone from this adorable little shop. As I recall, they were VERY proud of their ice cream. If memory serves me correctly it was around $3.50 for a single dip waffle cone.
What I liked most about this shot was the purple cone flowers with the blue/gray building.

Its a very nice little shop surrounded by very nice flowers but Chesapeake City – where’s the city? :)
Pretty flowers!
Purple coneflowers! I just planted some. That is a cute shop. I love what you’ve done with it. :sunny:
I love the same things about this picture!
:goodjob: Yep, Chesapeake City was just about the best little town we visited during our Maryland vacation. I love the cone flowers, too. I planted ten of them last evening in my new garden.
This is a great photo! I like everything about it, the shop, the flowers and the WATER behind it. Cheaspeake Bay, I presume? I’ve never been to that area, but ever since I read the book by Michner, I’ve wanted to go. :goodjob:
OOOhhh I love this picture. Neatest little balance of colors, quiet looking place, and skip the ice cream OK? :sunny:
How proud they must be to be able to get $3.50 for a scoop of ice cream and a cone shaped waffle.
