Mushrooms in my yard Photo by Chris Duffy
We have gotten so much rain lately, that the yard has not had a chance to get dry. This morning when I looked out the window I saw literally hundreds of mushrooms growing in the front yard. They’re only growning where we have mulch spread so I guess the spores were in the mulch.

They’re a little bit harder to see in this picture. It’s all those little gray circles. But then when I got home from work tonight there were probably only a dozen or so left. I guess the birds or rabbits ate them, and since there are no dead birds or rabbits laying about, I’d assume they’re not the poisonous variety. However, I don’t plan on eating the last remaining ones just to test that theory.

They are very pretty. I get mushrooms too. Different ones.
 Don’t let your four legged friends out among them!!! No, yours look completely different than mine did. Hear ya’ll are getting a lot of rain? Wish we would get more. I see you have liriope also, me too. :) What are your other plants in the pictures, the pink ones?
“The only mushrooms I like are the domesticated ones!” :p
:heartbeat:?yes:??lol:?p wink?)?spinning:?laugh:
We’ve had a lot more rain than usual in GA this year, too.
We have had so much rain lately I feel that I should be looking for the ark.
Too much rain here too, :( at least for my garden which is presently getting all the runoff from the roof. I’m going to have to get some guttering to redirect it before I drown everything. Your little mushrooms are cute. Too bad they weren’t morrels. :) Here’s hoping for less rain and more sun :sunny:
We get humongous, embarrassingly-shapen ones in our yard when it’s really humid or after a big rain. I can’t bring myself to get rid of them, though. Hee hee!
Thanks for the mushroom pictures . 18 days of rain !!!. I hear they do things in a big way in Texas!! :whocares:I do luv you
