Purple Hyacinth Bean Vine Photo and enhancement by Chris Duffy
A really short note to tell you that the gum surgery went fine. I thought I’d be back at work today, but that might have been a little bit optimistic. It doesn’t hurt nearly as much as it did when I had my tooth implant, but enough that I’m not up to par. My cheek looks like a chipmunk and whatever I drink has that extra hint of blood to it. Not a good taste, but the dentist is pleased with his handywork, so I am too. At one point in the surgery (you’re very groggy, but not totally out) I remember hearing my dentist tell his assistant that they got a goodly amount of tissue and that it’d be a shame to waste it, so they went ahead and did one of the other teeth they were planning on doing in the next session, which will be sometime next year.

That is a beautiful picture of the Purple Hyacinth Vine! I’m glad that all went well with your surgery.
So glad the surgery went well. The vine is gorgeous!
:( Yuck, what a thing for him to say in front of you! I had a friend who I took to her appointment for gum surgery. It was afterward that I decided I wanted to avoid that experience if at all possible.
Glad it’s over and you’re on the mend. (((((((Gentle Hugs))))))) :heartbeat:
I love the picture, as usual. I’m glad that you are progressing nicely with the gum surgery. I pray that you will be your old self again soon.
I’m happy the surgery went okay. I hope you feel up to work whenever you do go back.

The photo is beautiful!
Since they did a tooth that was to be done next year, does it mean that the next surgery will be less painful?
Lovely pic. Glad your surgery went well.
I have had my share of dental work and I avoid talking about it. You will survive as I have.
I hear it’s your birthday, have a wonderful birthday in spite of that dental work. I do hope the day has redeeming qualities.
I hope you are able to enjoy a bit of something tasty for your special day.
Regards,
Someone told me it was your birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!:) :heartbeat: :sunny: :fun:
I hope you are feeling better today and can enjoy the day!
:fun: The big six 0 — Wow
Happy Birthday little sister
I cant get used to my kids being Seniors!!
Neither can I, mom! It is UNBELIEVABLE to me that I could possibly be 60 years old.
Judging from the other comments, it’s your birthday, so Happy Birthday! The words “gum surgery” sure don’t suggest that it’s all that happy, but I hope you can make the best of it!
Thanks for subbing..
Your mama told on you. You aren’t keeping up on her blogs? She announced it to the world. She is a darling, you are so lucky to have her alive and well and with so much going for her in her still charging along brain waves. You are all one terrific family and that is one heck of a birthday present, the three of you sharing in this computing adventure. It’s a great innovation if you don’t weaken. I’m feeling a bit weak lately but, I’ll not truly be gone from here that is, if the hacker stops his shennagins. Boy, do I have some first hand I saw what he can do stories but, Xanga wants me to keep my mouth shut. So, I will as much as I am able.
Welcome to the world of us 60 year olds. I will be 61 in December. I hope I can live to be 100. My body doesn’t enjoy the ride too much but my mind says “damn, I do love life”.
Happy, happy again. Enjoy it.
LittleEgypt told you before I could. It was your mom who told us. I have 5 more to go before I’m 60, but I’m looking forward to it. My husband says that I can retire then.
Glad your surgery went well. I had gum surgery about 10 years ago, but they didn’t do grafts. They just hacked off some so the pockets wouldn’t be so deep. (Made me long in the tooth). Did they put that plastic, gummy stuff all over your gums? It really begins to stink after a few days. Yukkkk. I was glad when they took it off and I could do some mouthwash.
