  • Oxford Cemetery                                        Photo and enhancement by Chris Duffy

Well, I’ve held out as long as I could.  I just had to include another cemetery picture.  This one was taken in Oxford, England, and I just loved how this one stone had all that moss on it.  Makes you kind of wonder why all the others don’t have moss growing on them too.

We had a business dinner meeting tonight and I was a little worried about what I’d be able to eat, but it worked out fine.  We ate at PF Changs and one of the menu items we ordered (family style) was DanDan Noodles, which doesn’t require a great deal of chewing, so I ate mostly that.  I’m so ready for this swelling to cease, but at least I haven’t had to take any of the strong pain medication. A Tylenol is all I’ve needed for the slight pain.  Now if the Ibuprofen would just kick in and control the swelling like it’s supposed to do, everything would be hunky-dorey.

  • I love to go for walks in cemeteries. That is a neat mossy stone.
    Hope you feel better soon.

  • You tickle me,  :spinning: you voice sentiments that I am in total agreement with.  But, I am not the most popular here in Xanga at the moment and hope I survive intact.  I think there are many who wish I would just disappear.  I hope to hold on longer than that.  I have had people I have never met before in my blog sending messages of support.

If you had an inkling of what I would like to see as punishment to people who deliberately start forest fires you would realize real terror in your heart.  Oh God, let me at them, please.

I love your photos as usual, I think they are really fine.  I know the words seem to be the same but the feeling is always appreciative of your good work and there are only so many ways to say it.  I hope you win that camera you would like to win.

Thank you for stopping by my site. I appreciate every kind word.  :sunny:

    Regards,

  • Don’t you have old graveyards in the US that look like this?  If not, how do your old graveyards look?

btw I don’t know if there is a difference in usage in the US, but in UK English a graveyard is a place of burial attached to a church and a cemetery is a place of burial not attached to one, e.g. municipal.

  • I know a lot of people who find cemetaries very peaceful, but for some reason they still creep me out. Maybe I’ve seen too many horror movies..

Glad to hear you’re recovering from the gum surgery ok.

  • I had to laugh when I saw the chipmonk, Alice.  I guess he had gum surgery on both sides of his mouth at once. Poor thing.

  • Leave it to Alice!   I was going to apologize that I missed getting in here to wish you Happy 60, but some how I wandered off from Alice’s page to heaven knows where. She probably had a link I followed…yeah that’s it.

Welcome to the world of Senior Moments now.  :)

  •  :goodjob:  You remind us of our wonderful trip many years ago…and what is this with the mouth thing?????I have to have a tooth pulled and a bridge put in I have put off for at least 12 years..  Maybe that old tooth will stay brokend and still work until I end up in the picture you posted!

  • I love that picture, that mossy stone is great!

Glad that you’re not having too much discomfort as you recuperate from your gum surgery….hope the swelling is better!

  • Yes, that mossy gravestone is interesting.

I hope you’re feeling better soon.  Leave it to Alice to make you laugh and perk you up. :giggle:

  • wandering in… hope you feel better

  • PF Changs. Yummm.

Happy late birthday. We turn 56 later this year and can’t beleive we are actually making serious retirement plans.

    Pete

  • I love the old mossy gravestone……whether it’s in a cemetery or a graveyard…lol. I’m glad that you are progressing toward total healing without heavy meds.
