Longwood Gardens Photo and Enhancement by Chris Duffy
I’d like to tell you that these pictures were taken in my yard . . . but then that would be a lie. They were taken at Longwood Gardens which is located Pennsylvania. Alice and I went there on our “sister trip” back in 2002 I think. It was a gorgeous place with acres and acres of all kinds of plants and flowers. Some were indoors and some were outdoors.

Actually both of these pictures were taken indoors. I know it doesn’t look like it, but they were. We spent a goodly portion of one day here and enjoyed ourselves immensly. This year we’re going to Austin, TX for our annual trip together, because it’s fairly close and therefore not too hard on the pocketbook since we’ve both spent more than usual already this year. She bought a house and I bought a new computer. I’m getting anxious already.

wouldn’t you like to have a greenhouse(or conservatory) like that. Those are beautiful pictures!
Oh! this is lovely. I think I have been here with my parents some years ago. Wonderful plants and a beautiful setting for sure.
A trip to Austin sounds great!
You would love Kew Gardens in Richmond nr London.
:goodjob:Gorgeous Gardens!!! Longwood is on my list of places to see. Did you see the “Longwood Blue” rows of plants? I forget what variety they are, but I have seen photos and they are simply breathtaking! :sunny:
I can’t wait to see your pictures of your upcoming trip to Austin. Be sure to see the bats all fly out from under the downtown bridges at sunset (I have heard it is remarkable). Don’t be too grossed out, remember bats eat mosquitos.
Will you be able to post along your trip or will we have to wait till it’s over.?
James Avery Jewelers and his studios are somewhere back in the Hill Country from the Austin-San Marcos area I believe.
Longwood Gardens is not far from Kenneth Square, up in Pennsylvania – north of the Chesapeake to be more exact. I loved those gardens, especially the conservatory and water gardens. I’m really excited about our Austin trip, too.
:sunny: wish that were my garden! Lovely photos and beautifully enhanced! :goodjob:
