  • Sunset on Chesapeake Bay                                     Photo by Chris Duffy

THIRTEEN DAYS AND COUNTING . . . that’s how many days until Alice and I head out on another sister trip.  This year we’re going to Austin, TX.  The picture above of the sun setting over the Chesapeake Bay was taken a couple years ago on our Chesapeake Bay area sister trip.  We’d briefly visited this marina earlier that day and as we were heading back to our hotel room for the night we realized that if we hurried we just might be able to make it to the marina in time to get some shots of the sun setting over the water. We made it with a little time to spare, and walked around checking out the best angles so that when the sun actually did set we were both clicking away as fast as our shutter speeds would allow.

  • Boy, oh boy….The rest of us Xangans can’t wait, either. We are ALL looking forward to the wonderful pictures and stories you will have for us when you get back!

  • I think the sister trip you two girls do is a wonderful thing.  I will be waiting to see the photos as I know we will be getting two different perspectives of the same views.  Very exciting to think about.  Lovely photo of the bay, I love that area and haven’t been there in a long time.

  • Have a good week, Christine

  • I actually took quite a good picture years ago at the Chessapeake Bay. It was of a wave crashing onto a rock. The picture was in color, but it looks like it was sepia tone…………I wiah I had a sister to do a yearly trip with :jealous:

  • That is such a calming, peaceful picture.  I know I had my sister trip (cruise) in Feb., but I still envy you.  Those are the bestest, most funnest trips of all!!!  We can be completely yourself, and you generally like to do the same things.  Usually different from traveling with husbands!!!

  • Now you two just take a side trip down here to San Antonio and say howdy. Watch that Austin traffic though, it’s as nutty as Houston’s. lol

  • Wow it is getting close !1 If you take your laptop along you can send pictures as you travel.Be sure to find the ice cream place :heartbeat: :heartbeat: :heartbeat:mom

  • That is a beautiful picture–so peaceful and calm.  I know you are excited about your up-coming sister trip! :)
