The Old Depot in Port Deposit, MD Photo and enhancement by Chris Duffy
It’s a real shame that so many of the old buildings in these small towns are just left to slowly deteriorate. This could be a very striking business or even a unique home, if only someone had the money and the inclination to preserve it. But then, I’m sure there’s not that much money changing hands in a sleepy little town like this, and that is what it would take . . . money, and lots of it.
I went to the clinic and I do have a sinus infection, so I’m on an antibiotic. I just gotta be 100% healthy by vacation. One would hate to feel lousy on ones vacation, you know.

I bet I am one of your few readers who has ever been to Port Deposit, MD. One of my good friends used to live there a few years back. There was a great old junk shop called “Hunters Sale Barn.” One of those never-know-what-you’re-gonna-find type places. Used to love going there. Great pics…
:( I hope you are feeling better by now. We just can’t have you sick on vacation. :sunny:
Both of these are great pictures! :goodjob: Rest up and get well before your vacation!
Back in the early 80′s we went with friends to a town about 35 miles away for dinner at a place called The Depot. The trains didn’t stop there anymore, but they were still running thru the town. Was neat sitting there in the old depot and watching a couple trains rumble through while eating. I remember the place so well because they offered a double-rib prime rib for $7.99. It was like a small roast–about 2″ thick. That was the one and only time I couldn’t finish a meal in a restaurant!!
 :cry:Chris that is what i am doing! I just finished Walk– need I say more? As I said in my E-mail Get well fast so your vacation will be fabalous. I ran over Alice’s foot yesterday! I pray it is not giving her trouble. Your pictures are super as always. I will give you Daddy’s kudos by proxy!!! mom
