  • Church windows in Port Deposit, MD                          Photo and enhancement by Chris Duffy

Man am I tired.  I ran errands and did house work all day. I even planted some plants. I meant to make it to the Cottonwood Art Festival which is in Richardson today and tomorrow, but I ran out of time and energy.  I also didn’t make it to Dillard’s big 75% off sale.  There just isn’t time on a Saturday to get all the stuff done.  Not that it’s any big loss not making it to Dillards.  I mean it’s hard to fit the clothes I have in one closet, so do I really need any more?  Notice I said NEED not want.  Tomorrow will be church, three open houses and a piano concert in the evening so tomorrow is pretty well already taken up.

One of my errands today was to go to the book store.  Since I just finished “A Walk to Remember” and “The Rescue” a week earlier, both by Nicolas Sparks, and since I like both of those, I went out and bought “The Notebook” and “The Wedding” today.

In case you’re wondering . . . it’s FIVE DAYS and counting till this year’s sister trip.

Thought for the day:  The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat are really good friends.

    I can’t afford Dillard’s clothes. Maybe if I had a job I could.

  • Oh you’ve met my good friend, who I used to call a waistline?

You live in/near Richardson? Great part of Texas to visit
