Chris and Alice at Settler’s Crossing in the Texas hill country.
OOPS, I told you you wouldn’t have to look at very many pictures of Alice and me hiking, but this one is special, because it’s of a split rail fence. Now granted, our mother and brother aren’t in it with us, but we couldn’t resist when we passed the fence. Out of respect for the fence we just stood in front of it rather than actually sitting on it. I doubt seriously if it could have taken that much of a strain.

Weren’t we lucky that a squirrel dropped by just at the right time and offered to take the picture for us?
Oh goodness, this is lovely!
Yes, and a mighty crafty squirrel too.
:sunny:Seeing you two at the rail fence brings back lovely memories. The squirrel would have to be related to yhe talented squirrel that is roaming our halls. He somehow gets the food out of the trap without getting caught !! :heartbeat: :heartbeat: :heartbeat:Mom
I especially liked the instant diet.
:giggle:
Oh, I KNOW you two had a ball!! Did ya’ll stay at the bed and breakfast there? One of these days I would like to stay at a B&B.
And yes, the hill country is beautiful. I find it not only interesting, but so peaceful. I might be able to live there if given the chance. Maybe.
Thanks for the comment.

The two of you look really contented. Happy memories!
I love that family tradition of yours.
I saw the picture you took of the sunset. That took my breath away.
Nice pic of you both. I like how the fence is constructed. I’ve never seen one like that. I’ll have to look up how to construct one cos I can’t see how the bottom rail stays up.
