Fence in the King William District in San Antonio, TX Photo & enhancement by C Duffy
You know me and fences . . . can’t pass by a fence without taking a picture of it . . . especially wrought iron ones. This one we found in the King William District in San Antonio when Alice and I were there on our most recent “sister trip”.
My hubby got home last night from his Nashville trip. He was supposed to get in around 10PM, but caught an earlier flight and got home at 7PM. It must have been an exhausting trip too, because he was still in the bed this morning at 6:30 when my alarm went off, which is almost unheard of in our household. He’s usually up around 4AM . . . not because he wants to be, but because he wakes up around then and can’t go back to sleep. Thank God I don’t have THAT problem. I can’t function if I don’t get my 8 hours of ZZZZZZZ’s.

I really like that kind of fence too. Wish I could have afforded that for the back of our yard. But I like my pickett fence fine, really, and plants will like climbing on it better than hot iron anyway. Doesn’t that lantana in the picture look happy? It’s raining here again — filling up my trench again :sunny:
I love/need 8 hours of sleep, too.
I love fences too  :fun:
This one is really nice.
I am a total BEAR without my eight hours of sleep. Tom always gets up before I do, but I’ve gotten used to his early wake times. I don’t think I even heard him get up this morning. Must’ve been some seriously deep REM sleep. :p
I need 8 hours of sleep, too. I usually go to bed about 9 p.m. because I have to get up at 5:15 a.m. That is a lovely fence with the flowers hanging over it! :goodjob:
Is there a flower that Alice DOESN’T know?? Was going to ask if you knew what the flower on the fence was, and she answered it for me. She knew the flowering vine Vexations had shown the other day, too, that I was wondering about. Sadly, it won’t grow here. Love the iron fences, and also liked the gingerbread on the last pic you posted. I think the two go together! Very nostalgic-like feeling.
The Lantana is so pretty – thanks to Alice
as I too wondered what it was. Quite different from the varieties of it I have come across.
The lantana do not grow that big, at least I have seen them. Yes it has rained all day. the pic. is eye catching. :giggle: :giggle: :heartbeat:mom
:whocares:Whoops I meant to say ”here” bye again.
