  • Twin Falls at Perdenales Falls State Park
Photo and enhancement by Chris Duffy

Well, I got a lot of my “to do’s” done today.  Of course not all of them, but enough that I’m happy with the day.  I FINALLY got the asters planted that I bought on Alice and my “sister trip” to the Texas hill country.  I watered them generously after getting them planted and then God watered them again this evening. Ever notice how much better plants respond to rain as apposed to water from a hose?

We’ve gone through the entire house and changed every clock to the new time.  Oops. I just now realized that I haven’t changed my WATCH yet.  OK, now I can honestly say that every clock in the house has been changed. . . I think.

  • Our youngest son, who is a golf course superintendant, says it has to do with the natural stuff in rain water, compared to our city water that is purified.  He said it in a lot more technical terms, but that is what it boiled down to. :giggle:

It almost looks like Spanish Moss hanging from the dead tree in the foreground of the picture.  Is it?  Didn’t think Texas had that–not that far north, anyway.

  • It wasn’t Spanish Moss, I don’t think. . . it was more like tiny airplane plants.

  •  …enjoying your pics, Chris. The ones of the eclipse were most appreciated since I missed the entire show! :jealous:
…i’m half-way in time, but I’m on it.
…the asters are going to be gorgeous. MuSe

  • I’m glad your asters are finally in the ground. I hope they do well for you.

I like your twin falls picture. I don’t think I have one that good of them. I’m sort of going through my pictures one place at a time. As you can probably tell, I’m still in the King William district of San Antonio.

I’ve been out planting crocus and dutch iris bulbs this morning — a good way to use the extra hour we get today. We are supposed to get a rain coming from Texas today around noon. I hope it makes it.  :heartbeat:

  • Beautiful scene.
I am looking forward to next year, when, hopefully your Asters come out, and you take a pic of them, or at least I hope you take one to show the rest of us.

  •  :love:Just dropping by to  send you my love. :heartbeat: :heartbeat: :heartbeat:Mom
