Lovely home in King William District in San Antonio, TX Photo/enhancement by Chris Duffy
Boy, did I ever feel stupid this morning! Remember I said I turned all the clocks in the house back one hour yesterday evening? This morning I awoke a little after 5:00 am and immediately laid my head back down so I could sleep a couple more hours. At 5:45 I decided it was rediculous to keep trying to sleep, when I obviously didn’t need it. About then my husband came in to help me make the bed because he heard me get up.(Remember, this is the guy who gets up any where from 3:00 to 5:00 AM almost every morning because HE can’t sleep). At any rate, I made some comment about how silly it was to get up at 5:45 on a Sunday morning when I could have slept for over another hour. That’s when we noticed that MY clock said 5:45 while HIS clock said 6:45. I asked him if he had set my clock back one hour and he said “No”. Well, that was a puzzle. Surely I haven’t gotten so forgetful that I set my clock back TWICE . . . and then it hit me. One of the nifty features on my alarm clock is that you don’t have to remember to set it forward in the spring and back again in the fall . . . it’s already programed to do that. So somewhere around 2 AM this morning it set itself back to 1AM. Silly me.

Gary set all the clocks back so I didn’t have to think about it. I was just pleased with myself that I was able to reset the clock in the Mercedes without having to take out the owner’s manual or call the Mercedes Helpline!
(Still waiting to see my cousin’s house show up on your blog of King William houses…)
I wish our vehicles were programed to do that. That and the kitchen clock with the tiny little thing to turn that popped off last night.
…lovely pic, Chris! :goodjob: Love the way you framed it with trees and flowers.
…oh, 6:45 is difinitely better than 5:45, especially on a SUNDAY morning.  MuSe
:love:I set my watch and the Grandfather Clock. The rest will have to wait for someone else !It is hard for me to believe that this is November . :heartbeat: :heartbeaMom t:
I could have sworn that I commented on this.. but it is not there.. Oh, well. I’m sure it was rather inane anyway.
 or, like my husband, think the the DVD player is automatic, like the rest of the equipment, and try to record a show during the night.
I see someone here mentions the car – OH dear, I had forgotten that one. will have to figure it out again and change it tomorrow when I have to use it.
I had a friend who called me at 5:45 yesterday morning thinking it was 7:45. She had set her clock FORWARD instead of backward. I’m NOT an early riser, and I was sleeping so soundly………I could have really enjoyed those extra 2 hrs. befor I got up to go to church :sleepy:
I set all of our clocks back except my husbands alarm clock. This morning he got up at 5:30, I asked him if he’d changed his clock and he said no (I was half asleep still), he was getting up to see if school had been cancelled, it was. I then asked if he was going to wake up Robert (our 14 year old that must leave to catch the bus every morning at 6:50) and he said no, that he’d tell Robert when he got up to get ready for school. I never really figured out the real reason for him getting up and pacing around so early.
That’s a great photo! LOL, that is a funny story about your clock!
:)
:sunny: good morning
