Sculpture of Boy picking at his foot
I had to laugh when I saw this statue. I mean, it’s beautifully done; it’s lifelike, anatomically correct, the proportions are perfect, but it’s a boy picking at his feet. . . . just not the usual subject matter for a sculpture.

I just finished “The Wedding” by Nicholas Sparks, and I really enjoyed it. Although I got a little teary in spots, it wasn’t nearly as tear-jerking as “The Notebook” was. That one I had to occasionally put down just so my body could have a rest from all the boo-hooing. And if you knew me, you’d know that when I cry it takes AT LEAST a couple of hours for my face to return to normal. . . . bright red nose, puffy red eyes . . . I mean I am a sight when I’ve been crying, so I have really been able to enjoy this book without looking like a wretch.

That is hilarious! And just where did you find it? I guess we should be glad it wasn’t one of another favorite boy thing… picking nose. LOL
I love this statue. Pretty pedestal, too. So unusual to see one of of such a mundane task! In Vegas I’ve seen fountains of little boy statues peeing into a pool of water. Cute, but wouldn’t want it in MY yard!! This statue I would like in my yard.
LOL
:spinning:good photography. :heartbeat: :heartbeat:mom
:sunny:…a visit with fam is not complete without including you. :spinning: You complete the circle of excellence and varied discoveries. :goodjob: Delightful!
…purpose the above pixie is engaged in a necessary task after dancing about in woodland without shoes. Gorgeous statue, do you know the artist’s name? Was alabastar used?
…your pic of “the parrot” is stricking also. I pictured it being the deep freeze parrot. Turkey, indeed!
…read “A Letter to Nicholas”, think it was by Sparks also, not sure really. Reading a good book is a joy without equal. Glad your tissue supply was depleted. :p MuSe
PS:…correction: “Glad your tissue supply wasn’t depleted.” Geesh… MuSe
I love the sculpture… subject and all. :heartbeat:
 That is a cute sculpture!
I had to take a double take on this pic – you are right, not the usual subject, but truly a beautifully done one. Great pic.
