  • Well, we had to keep the tradition alive, didn't we?  We found this fence the 3rd day we were in the Ozarks and had our picture taken on yet another split rail fence.  Come to think of it, this might be one of the same ones that our father had taken our picture on years ago.  We used to go to this State Park years ago for our summer vacations and so it very well could be one of the same fences we posed on before . . . 50 years ago.

COUNTDOWN: Three days and 3 1/2 hours till retirement.

  • Love the split rail photos.  I think they are great.  I love bridges but so far have not found a way to sit on top of one for a photo.  If I do, I'll post it.

Retirement sounds so good.  I hope it is filled with all the good things you ever hoped a retirement to be filled with.

    Regards, Becca

  • Congratulations on your retirement!!!

  • I have a split rail in my backyard....but it is not sturdy enough for anyone to sit on, not even the chipmunks.  (I'm going back to work - been off since May) Retirement is probably about 5 years away...so happy for you though.

  • What's wrong with that gray-haired old lady?  She looks like she just ate a prune. wink

  • I like this picture of the two of you.
    Wonderful. Happy sisters
